Welcome to the Gunns of the World WIKI.
First order of business is for one of you clever and creative types to figure out how to make us a nice home page. In the meantime, this latest revision to the software allows us to create a folder and file structure similar to what you have on your computer. I made a start on that by creating folders for the content we had and moving the pages into them. In the process I found some stuff that was hidden, and some that was duplicated. So now we have a fairly clean place to start.
Many of you already have accounts, (your user name is your email address) but you may be prompted to set a password. Try logging in before you create a new account. If you aren't already in the system, click on the "Create an Account" link and enter your name, email address and whatever password you want to use.
After you have read around a bit and seen what is here, you can create and add your own content to what will be a growing stock of Gunn information, community and just fun. Notice, near the top right of your screen there is a link that says "Create a Page;" click on that and you are off and running.
You can also edit existing pages. At the top of each page you should see a "View" and an "Edit" tab. If you switch to the Edit mode be sure to click the "Save" button at the bottom of the page when you leave that page, even if you didn't make any changes. Otherwise it leaves the page "Locked." Not a big problem to fix, but it tends to scare off others who don't know they can "Steal" the lock on a page if the first person has wandered off.

I am not going to steal a lock. Whatever that is. I get into too much trouble as it is.

I didn't edit anything on the front page. I just wanted to look at the Edit page & it wouldn't let me leave without saving.

That's fine...it works like that. I have to "Steal" a Page Lock ever so often where someone has gotten onto the Edit screen of a page and then just bailed out. Which leaves the page Locked. Not a biggie,,,you did it right, which is to save the page even if you didn't change anything...<Smile>

As usual, I am stumbling around not knowing how to Wiki, but I am sure I will learn. After all, I learned how to operate this coal-fired, steam-powered computer of mine.

Hello, Royce! Love it; you've done a great job! I have to admit, though, I made one or two spelling/punctuation changes. It's a curse I haven't been able to overcome since my editing days. I could just see the thoughts spinning through your head faster than your fingers could fly. Happy New Year to the Gunns of the World (and everyone else, too!)
